 onOne Software Spring Savings

How’s that for a subtle advertisement? I could have chosen one to put in the corner, but I’m happy to see this discount come out and I don’t want anyone to miss it. I was unhappy to see my regular discount code go away earlier this year. However, this one is a bigger discount if only for a limited time. You have between now and Friday, March 29th to save 40% off their plugins during the onOne Software Spring Savings event.

Nik Software Complete Collection for $149 (and less with my coupon code!)

Yesterday, Nik Software stunned everyone by dropping its price by 70% – from $499 to $149. Wait, there’s more. If you previously bought any Nik Software product, you’re eligible to get the entire Complete Collection for free!  I already received an email from Nik Software yesterday to download my copy – even though I already bought the whole thing.

If you bought the Nik Software Complete Collection within the past 30 days, Nik will refund the difference to you. That’s outstanding! How many vendors actually give money back after you paid for something and let you keep the product?

If you haven’t tried Nik Software before, there’s a 15 day free trial. Check it out before you buy. Also, you can see why I love this software in my review of Nik Software.

70% is a great amount of money to save, but wouldn’t you like to save just a little bit more?  Sure, you would. So use my Nik Software coupon code – WBEEM – to take an additional 15% off the new price!

Putting Them Together – onOne Software and Nik Software on the Same Photo

Don’t think you have to use these plugins exclusive of each other. They also work great together. Here’s how I processed this photo in just a couple of minutes using Perfect Portrait and Color Efex Pro.

I started with onOne Software’s Perfect Portrait. It immediately identified Claudia’s face and applied some default settings that were nearly perfect. I moved a couple of sliders and hit the button to apply it. With that, the software managed to brighten the eyes, soften the skin, enhance her lips and teeth without interfering with other parts of the image. It’s disgustingly good and fast, too.

Next, I opened the image with Color Efex Pro and applied three filters.

  1. Tonal Contrast – I dropped a U-point on her blouse to selectively bring out the texture.
  2. Glamour Glow – Here’s an example of using a Negative U-Point. It applied the glow to everything but her face.
  3. Darken/Lighten Center – I decided to make a strong vignette centered on her face, rather than the typical “center of the photo” vignette that most tools force you to use.

Click. Drop. Slide.  It’s fast and easy post processing. You can do it, too. My Nik Software coupon code – WBEEM – is valid all the time, but you only have until Friday to take advantage of the savings from onOne Software. It’s a great time to enhance your post processing with two of the best plugin vendors in the photography space.

Hi, clicked the OnOne spring savings link but just got to their main website. Maybe I’m missing something or the OnOne spring savings isn’t active yet, or?

    • No, they were supposed to go live today. I’m sorry that you didn’t get the result you expected. When I click on the link, it sends me to the sale page.

Please give it another try and let me know if you don’t get the right results.

This is strange when using an iOS device (iPhone or iPad) and view the RSS post through Feedly or going to your site I see a big badass spring saving image which takes me to the correct place. But viewing it in Feedly or your site on my Mac, then there’s no image. It’s only the image link that works for me, all other links takes me to the OnOne main page.

Thanks for sharing though, think that I’ll take the opportunity and invest in it. Cheers!

        • Thanks, that’s good feedback for me. I haven’t tried Feedly yet, but I’ll see if there’s something that I can tweak to make the site work better there.

  2. I also cannot see the link (the entire picture/ad is missing) on Safari, but I can see it on my iPad (and on my work computer running a 6 yr old version of IE), so if you can’t see the big yellow ad, try another device.
