Interior of Wilderness Lodge Villas at Disney World

When I visited Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, one of the bellhops suggested I check out another part of the resort called The Villas.  A short walk from the main lodge, this is the sight you behold when you enter the Villas.  It’s quieter than all the ruckus going on in the main lobby of the lodge and has some interesting rooms off to the side.  There’s a fireplace and some more rocking chairs just out of frame to the right.  It’s a cozy environment when you want to get away from all the excitement and commotion of the other vacationers.  Sometimes, you just need a little get-away spot like this one.

This is STUNNING! You have inspired me to “try again”. My first attempt at this and HDR did not come out nearly as well as this one did. Hopefully when I get back there next June (two years after my not so great attempt) I will have improved enough to capture something as wonderful as this.

      Jennifer,

Thanks. If you haven’t already done so, I really recommend checking out Trey Ratcliff’s HDR tutorial at http://www.stuckincustoms.com. I learned from him at a workshop in Tampa, and also from an online course by Matt Kloskowski at KelbyTraining.com. Both have some great information to share. Trey also put out an eBook on the top ten mistakes of HDR. I’ve found that I made a lot of them, but have also learned out to get around most. The biggest mistake, and the one that still gives me some problems, is the halo effect. Fortunately, this image isn’t one that gave me that challenge.
